About Azure
Microsoft Azure is a comprehensive cloud platform offering compute, storage, database, AI, and enterprise services. Many organizations — especially those in the Microsoft ecosystem — rely on Azure for critical infrastructure.

Alert24 tracks the following Azure services through the official Azure Status page:
- Azure Active Directory — Identity and access management
- Azure Compute — Virtual machines and compute services
- Azure Storage — Blob, file, queue, and table storage
- Azure App Service — Web application hosting platform
- Azure SQL Database — Managed relational database service
- Azure Cognitive Services — AI services including Vision, Language, and Decision

Step 3: Add to Your Status Page (Optional)
If your customers should see Azure dependency status, add the services to your status page.
What Happens When an Issue is Detected
When Azure reports a service incident:
- Alert24 detects the update from the Azure status page
- Your service status changes to reflect the issue
- Alerts are sent to your notification channels
- Your status page updates if the Azure service is displayed
- Automatic recovery when Azure reports the issue resolved
Region-Specific Monitoring
Azure operates in regions worldwide. Monitor only the regions you use:
- East US, West US, Central US — Americas
- North Europe, West Europe — Europe
- East Asia, Southeast Asia — Asia Pacific
- UK South, UK West — United Kingdom
- Canada Central, Canada East — Canada
- And many more
Common Scenarios
Your app uses Azure Active Directory for authentication
Monitor Azure Active Directory. If Azure AD goes down, your users can't log in. This is one of the highest-impact Azure dependencies.
You host applications on Azure App Service
Monitor Azure App Service in your deployment region. App Service outages directly affect your hosted web applications and APIs.
You use Azure SQL Database
Monitor Azure SQL Database. Database availability directly impacts any application that reads or writes data.
You store data in Azure Storage
Monitor Azure Storage. This affects blob storage, file shares, queues, and table storage.
Your app uses Azure AI services
Monitor Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Speech Service, or Azure OpenAI Service. AI service outages directly impact features like text-to-speech, content generation, and intelligent search.
Azure Status Page
Azure's official status page: https://status.azure.com/
Azure provides status information per service and per region. Alert24 monitors this automatically — you don't need to check the Azure status page manually.
