We were notified early in the morning of an SSL certificate expiring for the webhooks.io domain. This certificate is utilized on both the API servers as well as some of the front-end portals that are on the webhooks.io domain. Around 7:30 AM CT, we began the renewal process of renewing and installing the updated SSL certificate on all the required infrastructure components starting with the API. At 8:50 AM CT all components were updated successfully with the active SSL certificate and verified by our engineers. In response, our engineers and team have begun a process of reviewing our after-hours notification workflow for support tickets an automated alerts that occur in critical times. This system obviously failed and we have made it our top priority to find a solution as soon as possible.

Customers seeing error messages connection to API or sending messages into the gateway. We started receiving connection errors at 11:10 AM U.S. Central Time (CT) this morning from our API and gateway that connections were refused. We immediately identified the cause of the issue and found a resolution to the problem. This issue was fix and traffic returned back to normal at around 1:30PM U.S. Central Time (CT). We are continuing to monitor the situation but believe the issue has been fully repaired. We will keep you updated here with the latest updates if anything changes.

This incident has been resolved. We have monitored traffic and all communication seems to be running stable for the last 4 hours.

AWS S3 outages was resolved at 4pm yesterday. All issues have been cleared and functionality looks to be restored.
