Opt-In Flow

This is the exact process users follow to opt in to SMS notifications:

  1. 1User navigates to their profile/notification settings in the Alert24 app and clicks "Add Phone."
  2. 2User enters their phone number. Below the input, disclosures state: message types, frequency, "Msg & data rates may apply", "Reply STOP to unsubscribe", "Reply HELP for help", and links to Privacy Policy, Terms, and SMS Policy.
  3. 3User checks a separate, unchecked consent checkbox reading: "I agree to receive SMS status alert messages from Alert24."
  4. 4A 6-digit verification code is sent via SMS. The message includes "Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
  5. 5User enters the code to confirm ownership of the number.
  6. 6A confirmation SMS is sent: "Alert24 Status Alerts: You are now subscribed to SMS notifications. Msg frequency varies by monitor activity. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe."

Text STOP to any Alert24 message. Also accepts STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.

Account Settings

Log in to Alert24 and disable SMS notifications in your notification preferences.
