Slow performance on edX

The latency issues across edX have been resolved and all services should now be operating normally. The issues appear to have been caused by one of our service providers, Cloudflare, which experienced degraded performance today, impacting applications across the internet.

Most edX functionality unavailable

As of 1:25 p.m. UTC, the outage that impacted edX.org learning and authoring functionality, including the edX mobile apps, has been resolved and our systems are fully operational. This outage lasted for approximately two hours. We continue to monitor our systems closely for any signs of instability.
Discussions unavailable

Due to a hosting configuration issue, discussions were unavailable in edX courses for approximately 12 hours yesterday and today, from 5:30 p.m. UTC on Wednesday, July 30, until 5:30 a.m. UTC on Thursday, July 31. While users were able to navigate to discussions during this time, they could not see any posts or responses. This issue has now been resolved.
Commerce and dashboard functionality unavailable

Due to widespread global outages impacting service providers used by edX, some users were not able to purchase edX products approximately between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. UTC. In addition, some users were unable to access program cards in their dashboard. These services are back online and the issues have now been resolved.
